Top 5 Feature: Running Still

We are from Columbus, Ohio, consisting of Joshua Mergler (guitars, co-producer) and Tieran Cline (vocals, producer, writer).  We started writing music together in 2018 and mix together pop-punk, emo, rock, and rap in a fluid way. We are sort of experimental with trying out different sounds and styles.  Our debut six-song EP released December 2024 and was mixed and mastered by Will Carlson Audio and Ingram Audio. The album cover was designed by Ron Totman. It's available on all streaming platforms at this link:   https://too.fm/stillrunning Top 5 Joshua’s Favorite Bands 1. Carousel Kings 2. Boundaries 3. Top 5 Feature: LibCor

LibCor is an indie, alternative rock band based out of Cleveland, Ohio.  As solo acts, Olivia Lee (vocals, guitar) and Corey Kurtz (guitar), met at a cancelled open mic while living in the foothills of central Pennsylvania in 2017. The pair left small town life for the city in 2019.  During the pandemic, the duo recorded their debut album, Cut the Rope , and released it in September, 2021. This helped to recruit Mike Deane (bass) and Jake Campian (drums), completing the band in 2022.  Since then, they have played 83 shows—mostly around the Northeast Ohio region, with some shows in PA, MI, and MD.  LibCor released their sophomore album, M.O.O.N. , in April, 2023 and are currently in the process of putting finishing touches on their third album at Audioworks Media Center. Their next show is April 23 at 7pm at No Class (11213 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44102). They will open for Dancemyth and Derek Zanetti (formerly The Homeless Gospel Choir). Tickets will be ...

Top 5 Feature: Naked Eye

Naked Eye began in 2023 near the Dayton, Ohio area. Originally, recording songs came naturally and it was just for fun before it turned into a full blown project that evolved from a DIY home studio to currently performing live as often as possible.  The solo artist blends grunge, having low tuned bassy riffs, and new wave, having danceable drum beats with synthesizers—Neo Wave or New Wave Grunge. “You can surf these waves, but they are grungy!” Naked Eye’s self-recorded, self-produced and mastered, self-designed debut CD, entitled, Chrysalis , is available now along with new single “Transcend/Dance,” which can be heard via streaming services. Chrysalis is all over the place musically, but “Transcend/Dance,” and all other new material, is more in line with each other. As the year progresses more singles will be released with hopes to have a full-length album out by the end of the year.  As a solo act, musician/artist, and music engineer, Naked Eye performs live with voc...
