Album Review: Kingz and Thievez, Suffering

By Brandi Genzen, OOTB Publications

Kingz and Thievez are relatively new to the scene.

A Cleveland-based deathcore band that began forming in 2021 by guitarist Tim McCullough and a previous member. Now in 2025, they are fully formed and taking the scene by storm.

Having been a friend and follower of Adam Sines, I was pleased to see he became bassist of the band recently and made me take notice.

Suffering is a 5-song EP released July 25.

I would have thought the group had been together for many years with the quality in which they play together.

Bryan Macher, vocalist, has definitely taken time to learn and perfect the art of throat singing—not only does his voice reach demonic levels, but the words are still distinguishable.

As many of us can relate to mental illnesses, addiction and suffering on some level, we rely on music to help express our emotions. Deathcore bands have taken note and haven’t missed the mark on empathy and compassion. This EP dips into awareness of negativity and mental health.

Check out Kingz and Theivez now so you can say you have been there since the beginning, because I only see them going up from here.

Kingz has all the tools and talent for success.
