Sterilizing The Deceased, a Northeast Ohio based deathcore metal band from Cleveland, has performed with many groups, including: Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, Dying Fetus, Lorna Shore, Oceano, Signs of the Swarm, The Faceless, Slaughter To Prevail, Rings of Saturn.
Having been around for more than a decade, they just released Nothing, a 5-song EP that will blow your mind (and your ears).
The songs take you through vocalist Angelo Vespucci’s personal struggles with addiction and suicide.
Track 1: “Recovery” talks about how it went wrong. There is always a beginning to downfall.
Track 2: “Self Meditated” touches on what it’s like losing one’s mind, one’s self.
Track 3: The title song, “Nothing,” is my favorite of the album. Fantasizing suicide, feeling like it’s hopeless, over. Feeling insignificant and living in self loathing.
Track 4: “Unconscious”
Track 5: “Awake.” Waking up—that moment when you hit clarity. When you feel awake for the first time in memory. Where we all begin to heal and learn self love.
This album tickled my ADHD and the little tiny inner demon I posses. It was a challenge for me to keep up pace with the beat while headbanging and screaming and letting it all out.
Angelo Vespucci’s vocals are so deep and demonic and everything I needed to let out my own current struggles. The band played ferociously.
Make sure when you listen it's loud and prepare to scream! Enjoy your ride.

I would give the album a 3/5. I was slightly saddened by no actual drummer; I'm 47, still not a huge technology fan.
