Top 5 Feature: Yellow No. 5

North Central Ohio rock band Yellow No. 5 was formed in 1995 in Richland County/Bellville by vocalist, guitarist Jeremy Lucas. Since their beginning they have received radio airplay, music placements on MTV and many endorsements.

The three-piece recently released their latest 6-song EP: Vacant Star (Spin World Records/SWR). The songs were recorded at John Schwab Recording Studios/JSR Studios in Columbus, Ohio from 2024-2025 with Chief Engineer Colin Coffey (Slash, Myles Kennedy, Halestorm), with the exception of bonus track “Alien,” from 2023.

Yellow No. 5 recently returned from an extensive 12-date national tour across 10 states, dubbed as the From Dusk Till Dawn Tour. The tour included gigs in Las Vegas, Santa Fe and San Bernardino—a major highlight of the trip was their 9:30 p.m. performance at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go, on Sunset Strip in Hollywood, California.

The band is no stranger to touring as they have traveled through the U.S. and into Canada, sharing stages with artists, including: Bobaflex, Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, Stroke 9, Smile Empty Soul, Hit The Lights, Rehab, Mushroomhead and more.

There are many new local and regional shows that have been announced, including at venues such as Cedar Point where they will perform every day June 12-17. A mini-tour, with some stops in surrounding states, will take place this summer. The next show is Friday, April 25 at Treelawn in Cleveland.
