Aaron Frohna is a local music artist residing within the Dayton, Ohio region. He has performed in both working cover and original bands for many years.
Having been around music his entire life—with both his father and grandfather being piano tuners and rebuilders—it was destined he’d first take interest in the piano from the start. After some years of piano lessons he decided to take up the guitar at the age of thirteen.
Frohna’s accomplishments in music include having recorded multiple albums with various bands and opening for touring acts, Kentucky Headhunters being the most known.
The first studio recording Frohna pursued was with Free Spirit in 2002, with Christer Saariko (violin) and Tony Starez (vocals), followed by an all original five-song demo by Signs of Life in 2005, which featured area musicians Greg Clem, Shawn Spivey, Dan Scott and Kirk Klingler.
While being in many cover bands afterwards, Frohna has always mostly been interested in being a writer first and foremost and he fronted many bands and duos, including: Finding Madison, Blues Bender, Frohna & Warner, Rebel City Wreckers, 20 Year Crutch (2013), Stage 3 Dilemma (2016) to eventually just becoming Frohna & Friends.
Frohna & Friends consists of a long list of local musicians that pair up for needed performances; whether it be a studio recording or otherwise. Some of the musicians Frohna calls upon for various circumstances are: John Stockstill II, Scott Hillard, Larry Donahue II, Jimmy Paul, Tim Kinniger and Paul Krumm.
Most recently, Frohna has released a full-studio album titled Songs for the Road, which is available on all streaming platforms. All songs were recorded at Refraze Recording Studio in Dayton, Ohio with producer and engineer Mr. Ron Pease.
Frohna continues to write new material and performs monthly throughout the Miami Valley.
