Louisville, Kentucky native EST Gee has recently dropped a new LP via CMG/Interscope with a fairly stacked list of feature appearances, and while it certainly achieves a good vibe, it leaves a lot to be desired.
While the production on I Ain’t Feeling You is clean and top notch, it didn’t seem to boast any memorable lyrics. The beats are fantastic—trappy and a little grimey (in a good way, of course)—but the flow grows stale fairly quickly.
With features from artists like Lil Baby and Travis Scott creating high moments on the album, what’s found in between just felt a little lackluster, the same flow being ridden for what feels like most of the album’s entirety.
All this being said, I wouldn’t say it’s terrible. It still achieves a certain level of energy and fun along the way, and I believe that his fanbase will still find plenty of highlights throughout its play through.
