Review & Photos: Silly Goose, Cheem, Muttlee in Columbus, Ohio

Silly Goose’s Set It Off Tour brought a rambunctious, no holds barred performance to a sold out A&R Music Bar in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday, Oct. 22–showing everyone that this is what live rock and roll music is all about.

The Atlanta, Georgia based heavy nü-metal rockers didn’t hold back as each member displayed contagious unrestrained energy with infectious live music that invited every fan to be part of the show—crowd surfers, stage divers, circle pit runners, a rafter swinger, a trash can walker.

It was like a house party that the cops would be called in to shut down… but, in a totally good way, with an inflatable goose party favor.

With only two full length albums and a couple EPs under their belt, it’s exciting to think what the future will bring for these continuously talked about, rising mischievous rock stars.

Cheem opened with a mix of solid rap, rock and reggae, having dual vocals backed by phenomenally danceable slap bass parts; an overall sound in the vein of 311 and Four Year Strong.

MUTTLEE, fronted by The Edge’s son, was nothing short of energetic and lively with rap, rock vocals and live instruments layered with electronic rock; a sound reminiscent of Beastie Boys and RATM.
