Ed Bunker—Founder, Chief PR, Marketing & Ideation Officer of NPM PR and Marketing has more than 25 years’ experience in the Music Business. 

 

He spent 14 years at BMG Music (now Sony) in Sales and Marketing in various positions, including National Sales Executive & Team Leader for the Wherehouse chain (700 retail stores) and National Rock & Metal Music Marketing Director.  


Ed was lured away from BMG Music to Squint Entertainment, where he became Squint’s National Director of Marketing and PR. While at Squint, he played a large part in the success of Sixpence None the Richer, a band that sold over 4 million units worldwide during its career, with the single “Kiss Me” recently passing 2 billion streams. 


Over the course of his career, Ed has played a vital role in the development of artists across various genres, including Alt Metal powerhouses Tool, Chevelle and DED; Alternative staples Dave Matthews Band and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Country Superstars Lee Brice, Brooks and Dunn, Alan Jackson, and many more.

 

Ed founded NPM PR and Marketing (NPM) in 2001 and is celebrating its 25thAnniversary in 2026.  Ed and NPM have been helping music artists mount successful campaigns to gain multi-platform media exposure, drive fan connections through social media, audio and video playlist inclusions, generate revenue, and overall career development.

 

Ed’s background also includes artist management, retail, radio, and television. NPM PR and Marketing is constantly evolving with the changes throughout the music business and is continuing to develop new channels and partnerships to maximize exposure for our clients and add value to every project. Fractional Marketing is currently driving the business.

Hillbilly Vegas recently released their album A La Mode, and are starting a tour at the end of August. Their latest single Miss America is at #17 and climbing the rock radio charts.
