Country music powerhouse Zac Brown Band brought the 27-date Love & Fear Tour—supporting their eighth studio album—to Columbus, Ohio at Nationwide Arena on Friday, Aug. 14.

The nine band members gave it their all, backed by a memorable stage production of lights and massive LED screens with vivid imagery—an immersive show bringing a bit of their recent Las Vegas Sphere production on the road.

Having 16 singles dominate airwaves since Brown’s 2002 career start, the setlist of hits was well recognized by the packed crowd—originals and cover songs alike were performed as either acoustic or traditional.

During the performance of massive hit song “Chicken Fried,” the band gave onstage recognition to a local service member: “…May freedom forever fly, let it ring; Salute the ones who died; The ones that give their lives; So we don't have to sacrifice; All the things we love…”

The tour, sponsored by Margaritaville At Sea, brought a more than 2-hour performance (with a brief intermission between sets), that gave fans a more personal side into Zac Brown’s life and foundational roots, making it a not to miss show that’s one for the books.

Old Crow Medicine show opened with a firey bluegrass hoedown party of Americana and Appalachia music; performing older favorites and some new currents from their June released full-length album Union Made

The stage transferred contagious energy into the crowd—especially from lead singer Ketch Secor’s interactive, engaging antics.

There was pickin’, pluckin’, strummin’.

There was harmonica, fiddle, piano, banjo, geetar, upright bass, cigar box, mandolin, dobro, pedal steel, banjitar, percussion.

Whew wee!

The Love & Fear Tour continues through November with either Grace Potter or Brothers Osbourne as openers on select dates.
