Atmospheric Blackened Deathcore influenced band Winterot formed in Oct. 2025, but found their missing piece (a drummer) in November.
All four band members have been working in other projects amongst each other for years, but they decided to start something new.
Debut single “Einsamkeit” was released in May, the second single “Darkest Day” released last month and 5-song EP Bereavement will be released Friday, July 17 along including new single “Evermourne,” which features vocalist, guitarist Laura from UK metalcore band Pandora’s Pain.
Each band member is from different parts of Ohio, aside from the guitarist and songwriter, who currently resides in Wales.

As far as our Top 5 Bands and Influences go, we all have separate influences that kind of came together to form what we are, and we’ve been trying to avoid sounding too much like any other band currently.
Our influences as far as genre would be: deathcore, black metal, thrash, slam and some djent tossed in.
