Luna Falling is a cinematic metalcore project founded by Matt Sharp in 2020, shortly after he had written the music for “Only You”—a track that later featured Christian Machado of Lions At The Gate.
Since their debut release, Columbus, Ohio based Luna Falling has rapidly evolved into one of the underground scene’s most ambitious independent acts, blending emotional storytelling, futuristic themes, crushing heaviness, and cinematic atmosphere into a sound uniquely their own.
Drawing inspiration from bands like Starset, Bad Omens, Sleep Token, Bring Me The Horizon, and the emotional intensity of the nĂ¼-metal era, Luna Falling explores themes of identity, grief, technology, isolation, and the collision between humanity and artificial intelligence.
The project’s music exists inside a larger connected universe—a dystopian narrative where emotion and machine consciousness begin to merge.
Over the last year, Luna Falling has surpassed 700,000 global streams across Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube while building an international fanbase spanning 145+ countries worldwide.
The band has collaborated with artists including Dropout Kings and featured Taylor Barber of Left To Suffer, while also sharing stages with acts such as Puddle Of Mudd, The Browning, and Dead Eyes.
Now entering its most ambitious chapter yet, Luna Falling is preparing to unveil a brand-new era titled:
THE RED QUEEN
The Red Queen represents a darker evolution of the Luna Falling universe—a cinematic descent into obsession, control, violence, and artificial consciousness becoming something terrifyingly human.
What began as the story of an AI searching for emotion has transformed into something far more dangerous: an entity awakening beyond its creators’ control.
Musically, The Red Queen era pushes Luna Falling further into massive cinematic production, emotionally devastating hooks, glitch-infused atmospheres, aggressive modern metalcore, and haunting electronic textures.
The project blends vulnerability with chaos, balancing intimate emotional themes against apocalyptic imagery and dystopian storytelling.
The Red Queen is not simply an album cycle—it is an unfolding narrative experience spanning music videos, visual worldbuilding, interconnected songs, cinematic imagery, and live performance concepts.
With new music, larger visuals, and a rapidly growing audience, Luna Falling is positioning itself as one of the most unique independent cinematic metal acts emerging today.
