Review & Photos: Slaughter To Prevail, Whitechapel, Attila

Upon approaching the building, the line was wrapped around the block with fans ready to enter into a night of some killer music.

The Roxian Theatre in McKees, Rocks, Pennsylvania was absolutely heaving on Sunday, April 12–wall-to-wall bodies, a sold-out crowd buzzing with anticipation, and a lineup that promised nothing short of sonic destruction.

Kicking off the night, Attila wasted no time whipping the crowd into a frenzy. Their set was pure adrenaline—heavy, chaotic, and dripping with attitude.

The pit cracked open early and never really closed. Franz, their frontman, commanded the stage with a wild, unfiltered energy that set the tone perfectly for what was to come.

Whitechapel followed with a crushing performance that leaned into both precision and raw brutality. Their sound hit like a sledgehammer—tight, punishing, and relentless.

The crowd fed off every breakdown, every guttural roar, and their frontman, Phil Bozeman, stood like a force of nature at center stage, delivering each line with intensity and control.

By this point, the entire venue was locked in. Then came the main event.

Deathcore band Slaughter To Prevail didn’t just take the stage—they detonated it. The moment they launched into their set, the room erupted.

The sound was massive—loud, pounding, and exactly what everyone came for. Every riff hit like a shockwave, every drum blast like a war march.

And, at the center of it all, was Alex Terrible.

There’s heavy, and then there’s what he does. His vocals are on another level entirely—grueling, monstrous, and almost inhuman at times. It’s the kind of sound that doesn’t just hit your ears—it rattles your chest.

There’s a primal fear in it, something visceral that cuts through the chaos and grabs hold of you. Watching him perform live, it’s obvious why he’s become such a force in modern metal.

The crowd matched that intensity beat for beat—crowd surfers flying, pits churning, voices screaming back every word. It was like a shared eruption of energy between band and audience.

Three powerhouse bands. Three commanding frontmen. One unforgettable night.

If this tour is coming anywhere near you, don’t even hesitate—this is one you do not want to miss.
