Ohio's hard-working, blue-collar modern country rock duo Chase-N-Tyler continue to pick up steam as they release new songs—including recent singles: “Hate Me” and “Raised In A Barn”—with an EP expected later this year.
Signed with Warner Records’ affiliate Vere Music and each having more than 10 years of experience as musicians, the duo has worked with Ray Luzier (Korn drummer) and Scott Bush (The Nixons’ guitarist)—pushing them into a lane that sits comfortably between country storytelling and rock energy.
In this extensive OOTB Interview, the dynamic musicians took time out to discuss their formation, working with Luzier and Bush, inspirations, influences, hobbies, their upcoming EP and much more.
How did you both meet and start collaborating as a music duo?
Chase reached out to Tyler’s previous band over ten years ago to jump on a song he wrote called “Hillbilly State of Mind.”
We connected right away and honestly never stopped working together after that.
What does your songwriting process look like when you write together?
Most of the time, one of us comes in with a strong piece of a song—whether that’s a chorus or a verse—and we build the rest together from there. It’s a very natural back-and-forth.
Where are your hometowns?
Chase is from Waynesfield, Ohio, and Tyler is from Bucyrus, Ohio.
Who are your musical influences?
With Chase, you can pretty much guarantee there are three or four Joe Diffie songs on his playlist every day, as well as mid-2000's hard rock.
Tyler’s influences are a wild mix—his two favorite artists are Ozzy Osbourne and Alan Jackson.
Who inspires you personally, outside of music?
Tyler: My parents have played a huge role in both my life and my music. They taught me to work hard for what you want and go get it.
Chase: My dad has been a massive influence on me, musically and personally, especially growing up and working alongside him on the family farm. I couldn’t do it without him.
And of course, our wives—their continued support and belief in us is on a whole different level. They keep us grounded but push us at the same time.
What has Ray Luzier brought to Chase-N-Tyler?
Ray has brought shared experiences, friendship, and wisdom from one of the greatest to ever sit behind a drum kit, and plenty of energy to our projects.
He’s helped us structure things properly and really excel as a team.
Every time we’re around him, we level up. He’s a great friend and a legend in our eyes.
What has Scott Bush brought to the project?
Scott is simply one of the best people we’ve ever met.
His talent is unmatched, and he pushes us to make nothing but hits.
We clicked right away with “Scoob,” and the dude produces hits—plain and simple.
His knowledge of music and life is exactly what we needed to take things to the next level. He's a legend in his own right.
What do you hope listeners take away from your music?
We want them to hear it at the start of the song—and feel it by the end.
We are a rowdy bunch that resonates with a rowdy crowd, but professional enough for a family affair.
What can you share about your upcoming EP?
We’ve got a few more singles lined up for release, and the EP will be dropping later this year.
If you like what you’re hearing now, just know we aren’t done.
Every song hits—guaranteed to pull on your heartstrings, hype you up, and get you moving.
We check all the boxes, and we’re fired up about it.
Outside of music, how do you spend your time?
Family and hard work mean everything to us.
Chase enjoys concerts and hockey games with his wife, Alex.
Tyler and his wife, Melissa, spend their free time at concerts and lake days with their two boys, and both guys have a continued growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
What are your goals for the rest of the year?
To play a show in all 50 states. Tour, tour, tour.
We want to hit the road with the right artist, keep growing as a unit, and continue building our brand.
Where do you see yourselves in 10–20 years?
Headlining stadium tours—older, with a solid bourbon collection, a nice piece of property, and a happy life with our families.
Is there anything else you’d like to add?
Follow us on social media to keep up with everything, and we’ll see y’all soon on a stage near you.

Some of the most down to earth, honest and personality’s you could meet. They are the real American boys, they love their families and friends. I can say that their songs will hit you, whether it be something that happened in your life past or current or just something that reminds you of someone or something.
