Founded in the early 2000’s, New Found Element (NFE) started as a four-piece groove/nu metal band from Toledo, Ohio consisting of Matt Carpenter, AJ Fadell, Corey Malhoit, Bob Hartman.
The original line up began to see some local success in the circuit and after a short run, the original bass player, Bob, had to part ways leaving an opening to be filled. That spot was filled by new and current bass player Mark Schlegel.
The band went on to improve on its writing and stage performances and continued to develop a strong local and semi-regional following, supporting many national signed touring bands.
After a few years of of going strong, careers outside of music crept in and a decision was made to hang it up for a decade or so, then the idea came to start back up.
With the line up beginning where it left off, NFE were back up and running, until a falling out with drummer AJ. After a short while, NFE found a replacement with new drummer Anthony Keesecker. With a refreshed determination it was time to get to shows, writing and recording.
NFE has a very wide range of influences, ranging from classic rock to modern deathcore and metal. They will be taking the winter off for writing and recording and will be back with new music and shows Spring 2025.
