Illusions is a heavy new rock band based out of Columbus, Ohio with an emphasis on heavy guitars, melodic hooks and dynamic vocals. The vision for the band originated in 2020 and has evolved to where it is today with vocalist Timmy Creech and drummer John Grundy along with lead guitarist Chauncy Runyon and founders Frank Thompson on guitars and Sarah Thompson on bass.
A strong desire to write meaningful music with heavy hooks, melodic undertones and powerful vocals drives the members of Illusions to create music they hope connects with listeners. Moving into 2025 the band has plans to continue recording songs for their upcoming EP release.
During the summer, Illusions dropped their new single “Fading Echoes” on all streaming platforms which followed with a lyric video on YouTube. This song takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride and is the first recording with new vocalist Timmy Creech and drummer John Grundy.
The band has shared the stage with many artists throughout the summer, including: Sourblood, Tantric, Broken Habits, Hed PE, Smile Empty Soul, Everything’s Taken, Five by Five and others.
Illusions are performing in Columbus, Ohio at The King Of Clubs’ Holiday Party and Toys For Tots & Food Pantry Benefit Event on Friday, Dec. 20, along with Cream Camino, Pariah, Bade. The band will soon be announcing new material, including an upcoming release for the song “Wildfire.”
