I’ve been in the zone musically lately: attending shows, listening to unreleased albums and reviewing them, playing lots of guitar. Inspired. This Sunday I sat down for a second trip through the new release by Wintersun; I was mesmerized the first time, but the words didn’t come to me, so I decided to listen a second time. As I collect my thoughts, I’m listening to Wintersun’s new release, featuring six new tracks set to tantalize your ear holes! “The Way Of The Fire” sets the tone with a beautiful acoustic guitar that breaks into a relentless tirade of Carcass-like face melting metal! My heart is frozen too, sir. “Silver Leaves” is a great finisher that left me wanting more!
