Bio
Hospital Brute is a four-piece band that formed in the Marion, Ohio area by Preston Bender and William Adkins in the summer of 2023. The two met one year prior and eventually decided on combining musical inclinations into a serious project.
They began playing with Jaxson Greenawalt in July of 2023 and quickly found steady footing with the prodigal drummer. The trio played shows for a couple months, where they would see their future bassist Bronson Gamble, a pivotal piece of Hospital Brute's story. It was Gamble's house and practice space in Meeker, Ohio that Adkins and Bender met for the first time. Gamble had the musical chops and the will to be in a great band, so naturally they all fit in perfectly.
After finding the lineup, the band had the privilege of being introduced to Rod Weaver who, out of his garage, runs Planet Weaver Studios and has helped Hospital Brute immensely in giving a space to practice and record music in Marion.
Since then, the band has been playing lots of shows, including their first in Columbus, while working on their first release as a band and continuing to plan their next moves as a group. (Written By William Adkins)
Recent Happenings
Hospital Brute created and organized Brute-Fest with collaboration from Downbad. The full one-day event was a music and skate festival held at Kaufman Skatepark in Marion, Ohio with 8 bands, 2 food trucks, and the event raised $220 for the Marion Humane Society (The band extends a special thanks to Rock Cherry Productions for helping put the event on).
At Brute-Fest, the band ran out of their first run of 30 hand copied CD's in one day. The band said: "We're super excited for more people to hear it and plan to have more details on our Spotify release coming soon."
Hospital Brute has produced their first release at Planet Weaver Studio: Wildfire EP. The EP will have three songs; 10 minutes of new, original music recorded and mixed by Johnny Roberts (Woe Of Tyrants/Rocket Productions/JCR Sound) and Rod Weaver (Planet Weaver Studio). There will be a release date soon.
