The Dark Horizon Tour stopped in Fort Wayne last night with a stellar lineup; each band delivered strong, memorable performances.

From Ashes To New brought the dual vocals of singer/rapper Matt Brandberry and singer/screamer Danny Case. Giving a message to be your true self no matter what outside influences say, the rap-rockers performed “Hate Me Too,” “Dead To Me,” “Through It All,” “Panic” and others.

The heavy, heavy Fit For A King blasted the venue with pounding riffs and shout along songs that included “Vendetta,” “The Price Of Agony,” and the energetic crowd involved closer “God Of Fire.” An inevitable mosh pit formed immediately following the first note.

Co-headliner In This Moment took the stage with eerie dark theatrics and the unmatchable vocals of Maria Brink. Song aligned pyro and a stage centerpiece featuring Brink with dancers wearing various masks and costumes were featured throughout the set. Performances included: “Blood,” “Adrenalize,” “Big Bad Wolf” and hard hitting industrialized new tracks “The Purge” and “Sacrifice” from their upcoming release Godmode releasing late October. As is tradition, the band closed with a dunce-hat wearing, classroom ruler tapping Brink on a tall pulpit for “Whore.” ITM always impress.

Motionless In White has evolved into a force to be reckoned with through the years. The band fronted by a hat wearing Chris Motionless delivered a spotless set with songs that included “Voices,” “Werewolf,” “Reincarnate” and more, including songs from the band’s most recent album Scoring The End Of The World. The band’s fun energy, with onstage “Cyberhex” logos, transferred to the crowd as body surfers ventured from the rear to the front, traveling toward the explosive pyro. MIW absolutely dominated.
