Modern English will take fans back to the ‘80s this Saturday in the small setting of A&R Music Bar in Columbus. The 18-date tour brings the English new wave band to the states with original members Robbie Grey (vocals), Gary McDowell (guitars), Mick Conroy (bass), Stephen Walker (keys). It’ll be a real treat to hear the band’s hits and crowd favorites live in such an up close setting. Although compared to Duran Duran and Simple Minds, the band has always maintained its own appeal, especially with defining 80’s era anthems “I Melt With You,” “Ink And Paper,” “Hands Across The Sea.” Philadelphia electro-pop duo Korine opens.
