Ice Nine Kills (INK) is truly a one-of-a-kind band, they bring on-stage theatrics that coincide with horror movie themed song lyrics and blend it with metal, hard rock and punk music—an ideal package for fans of cult horror movies, haunted houses and rock and roll. The band’s name is derived from an isotope of water creation called “ice-nine” from Kurt Vonnegut Jr.‘s book Cats Cradle

Lead vocalist Spencer Charnas was always in motion as he took the lead role and stage actors/actresses supported and participated in horror movie re-enactments.

It was like attending a thrilling midnight screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show as many fans dressed up in costumes, jumped around and sang at the top of their lungs; however, nobody brought rice or toilet paper and there was no “Time Warp.”

The sold-out crowd faced the stage and never blinked as various props were displayed and used throughout the heart pounding performance—realistic bloody body bags, masks, knives, a shovel, a clown horn, chainsaws, axes, a hatchet and costumes that aligned with the songs (such as IT character Georgie wearing a yellow raincoat and holding both a balloon and paper boat during the song “IT Is The End”).

The band’s latest album (their sixth), The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood, was released just before Halloween 2021 and it was the main attraction last night with songs that included: “Hip To Be Scared” (American Psycho), “The Shower Scene” (Psycho), “A Rash Decision” (Cabin Fever), “Rainy Day” (Resident Evil), “Ex-Mortis” (Evil Dead).

From previous releases, the quintet also performed “Stabbing In The Dark” (Halloween), “Me, Myself and Hyde,” “A Grave Mistake” (The Crow), “Rocking The Boat” (Jaws) and many others.

Keeping shock rock alive and well in the vein of Alice Cooper, the Fear The Premiere Tour delivers an unforgettable, clever production that entertains from start to finish with a talented lineup of engaged musicians.

August Burns Red, Veil Of Maya and Mike’s Dead delivered strong opening performances.
