Hip-hop and R&B took center stage in Cincinnati last night bringing an evening of nostalgia to a packed Riverbend Music Center as part of The Final Lap Tour with 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes and Jeremih.

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Get Rich or Die Tryin’, hip-hop legend 50 Cent performed “What Up Gangsta,” “P.I.M.P.,” “21 Questions,” “In Da Club,” “Wanksta” and others from his debut album.

The G-Unit mogul sounded fresh with two backing Emcees and a DJ stationed above. 50 made his way back and forth across the stage in front of screens that resembled his South Jamaica Queens’ area neighborhood.

With this being the Grammy winner’s possible final tour, he performed a massive straight forward lengthy set of cover features (including Lil’ Kim’s “Magic Stick”) and originals (including “Candy Shop”) giving fans everything and more.

Busta Rhymes, who gratefully received BET’s 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award recently, brought his woo hah headspining raps and distinct hardcore East Coast hip-hop break ya neck beats to Cincy.

Before introducing his new single “Beach Ball” (which features Bia), the Flip Mode Squad star told the crowd, “Thank you for giving us years of love… we’ll keep giving you love back, by making more music.”

After wowing the crowd with his speedom rapping section in “Look At Me Now,” Brooklyn’s Busta cracked a bottle of champagne in celebration of the 25th anniversary of his second album When Disaster Strikes and to honorably celebrate Fifty Years Of Hip-Hop. When the set ended, fans were thinking: gimme some more.

R&B sensation Jeremih opened the show with a short relaxed set of soulful, sensual music that included 2009 chart topper “Birthday Sex,” while skilled dancers worked the poles on stage.

The extensive 64-date international tour with many sold-out dates runs through the end of the year.
