Underground hip-hop artist Pouya brought his rap talents to Columbus on Saturday as part of the All But 6 Records Tour, an independent label founded post-Buffet Boys. The Floridian flowed fast and smooth nailing the mixes with his distinct South/East Coast style that brings a bit of Bone Thugs reggae chop and some funk tracks along with some hardcore trap moments that go heavy. Gaining notoriety via SoundCloud in the vein of $uicideBoy$, the artist has released a slew of mixtapes, EPs and singles with collabs; he just released an album titled G.A.T.O.R..
A number of rap artists (including special guest Ramirez) and label mates opened for Pouya, including his long time friend and collaborator Fat Nick. The openers encouraged safe circle pits and moshing during their 15-20 minute sets while fans waved their cell phone lights in the air and jumped through the night--there were a couple ICP "Whoop Whoop" chants in the crowd as well. The tour which has sold out many dates, continues through late May.
