It’s been a long time since I’ve written for Out Of The Blue. I’d like to take a minute to thank Neil for inviting me to review the new HammerFall album, Avenge The Fallen. Let me tell you I was excited to hear the synthesizer in the introduction to the album’s title track “Avenge the Fallen.” “Hail to the King” and “Hope Springs Eternal“ offered some very creative old-school metal for those into epic tales of glory and servitude. I couldn’t help but be lifted by the overall tone of this album with its crispy guitar work blazing, drum beats and soaring vocals. I definitely recommend listening to this album. If you are into classic metal styles, download HammerFall Avenge The Fallen or maybe even pick up a copy on vinyl at your local record store when it’s released. Rating: 3/5
